A United Kingdom - Charity Screening
Sunday 21st October ONLY

Sunday 21st October  7:15pm ONLY

This event raises funds for Mary's Meals, an international charity which sets up school feeding projects in some of the World's poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education.

A very special meal will start at 6pm in the restaurant with two courses available for £12 - please see our restaurant page for more details.

The evening will start in the cinema at 7:15pm promptly (no trailers or ads) with an introduction from Sandraa Watson (mother-in-law of the film's star, David Oyelowo, and mother of Davide's wife and co-star, Jessica Watson, in the film) and then an exclusive video introduction from David himself.

There will be a short 4min clip about the valuable work done by Mary's Meals before our film, A UNITED KINGDOM, then commences around 7:30pm.

The story of King Seretse Khama of Botswana and how his loving but controversial marriage to a British white woman, Ruth Williams, put his kingdom into political and diplomatic turmoil.
