Tony

In 1976, a young 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain (known then as ‘Tony’) aspires to become a professional writer but fails to get into his college’s writing fellowship. With no desire to remain at home for the summer, he travels to Provincetown, Massachusetts to chase his unrequited high school crush Nancy. When things go sideways, he accepts a job at a Cape Cod restaurant, learning under the tutelage of Ciro, a Brazilian-born chef and restaurateur.

Featuring standout performances from an all-star cast, including BAFTA nominee Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers) as Bourdain, Academy Award nominee Emilia Jones (Coda), Academy Award nominee Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory) and Leo Woodall (One Day), TONY unapologetically conveys the complicated origins of Bourdain, laying the foundations of his culinary career while showcasing his famous wit and humour.
