BAFTAS and Oscars Awards Season Week
Each year we pay tribute to the films of the past 12 months that have been nominated for both BAFTA's and Oscars by hosting a week of screenings that round up those which have been most nominated. This year our screenings take place from 6th to 12th March.
The following five films stand out as the most nominated for both Oscars and BAFTA's:
- Sinners - 16 Oscar nominations, 13 BAFTA nominations
- One Battle After Another - 13 Oscar nominations, 14 BAFTA nominations
- Sentimental Value - 9 Oscar nominations, 8 BAFTA nominations
- Marty Supreme - 11 Oscar nominations, 9 BAFTA nominations
- Hamnet - 11 Oscar nominations, 8 BAFTA nominations
The British film I Swear is likely to pick up a few awards at the BAFTA's where it is nominated 5 times, with actor Robert Aramayo also nominated as Best Actor for a BAFTA.
The BAFTA Awards ceremony takes place on the 22nd February so we'll know who has won what by the time our week of screenings comes around, but the Oscars do not take place until March 15th so we hope you enjoy this packed week of some of the best movies of the past 12 months!
